
Happening with Dalila Gonçalves
On June 20, a large public event took place in Blankenberge. Over 500 pre-schoolers of Blankenberge participated in the event. Under the guidance of artist Dalila Gonçalves, they created a large pattern in the sand, based on the typical belle époque cement tile. With the temporary work of art, that was washed over by the sea a couple of hours later, the artist wanted to highlight the transience of life.
This project came forth from a cooperation with the city of Blankenberge and the participating schools.
